Save our National Tree/ Kalpavruksha

The entire idol was made with waste newspaper & discarded shoots of Banyan tree. The crown depicts a bird's nest. The forehead was decorated with corn hair and natural moss. Both ears show 3D landscape made with natural moss and fluoroscent colours. The Idol in Abstract form depicts the hypocritic nature of humans. On one hand we worship this sacred and valuable Banyan tree during Vat Purnima whereas on other hand we mercilessly chop them for urban development. Once upon a time, children and woman used to swing on the shoots (Parambya in Marathi) of this tree. But now, no such enjoyment is seen.
